ROBINS TO SYRACUSE; JACKALS TRADE FOR LINCOURT
ELMIRA, NY The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the ECHL, announced today that right wing Bobby Robins has been loaned to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League and that the club has acquired right wing Maxime Lincourt from Bakersfield in exchange for future considerations.
Robins is making his third trip to the AHL this season after previous stints with Rochester and Albany. In six games combined with the Americans and the River Rats, Robins is pointless with a -3 rating and 13 penalty minutes.
In 42 contests with the Jackals, Robins has ten goals and eight assists for 18 points with a -10 and 86 penalty minutes. Five of his goals have come on the power play to rank second on the club (Pierre-Luc Faubert 7).
Lincourt, 20, leaves the Condors after appearing in 16 games with three assists and 18 penalty minutes with a -6 rating. The Montreal, Quebec, native skated five seasons with four different clubs in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
In 253 career games in the QMJHL with Quebec, Rimouski, Val-dOr and Moncton, the 61 197-pound forward totaled 66 goals and 84 assists for 150 points with 140 penalty minutes. Skating with Rimouski in the 2005-06 campaign, Lincourt led the Oceanic in goals (30), assists (36) and points (66).
The Jackals also announced that forward Bruce Watson has been activated and is expected to be in the line-up tonight when Elmira visits Reading in a 7:05 p.m. face-off at Sovereign Center. Watson has been out of the line-up since undergoing an appendectomy in late December.
