Jackals Players Dish Out Creativity To Help Booster Club

ELMIRA, N.Y. - Before the Jackals take the ice for this weekend's three-in-three against Fort Wayne, they spent some time lending their artistic talents to help out the Booster Club.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the games fans can bid on plates that the Jackals players painted themselves. All plates have an original painting, an autograph on the front of the plate, and names printed on the back, as well as a picture of the player with their plate (taken at the time of painting). The silent auction bids start at $10 per plate and go up in increments of $10 per bid. Fans are encouraged to bid throughout the weekend up until the end of the first intermission on Sunday’s game.

Winners will be announced at Sunday’s game; if the winners are not present they can pick the plate up at the end of the game or pick it up at the next home game. If they are not picked up by the game on January 29, 2014 the next highest bidder will get the plate. The only form of payment that will be accepted is cash.

All funds through this fundraiser and upcoming fundraisers will go to the Booster Club to buy the players water, Powerade, Gatorade, and snacks for before games and while on the road.

To join the Booster Club there will be fees - $25 for a single, $35 for husband and wife, $50 for a family, and $10 for a social member – and does not require you to be a Season Ticket Holder. For more information the Booster Club will be hosting a meeting on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 6 p.m. at First Arena for persons that are interested in joining the Booster Club or want to know what it is about. At the meeting dues, upcoming fundraisers, upcoming trips, and more information will be given.

Upcoming fundraisers and events include a raffle for a stick signed by all the players and a bus trip to the game on March 15 in Reading.
