ELMIRA, N.Y. - The Elmira Jackals announced today that they will welcome two-time Olympic Silver-Medalist Kacey Bellamy for a meet-and-greet appearance at their home game this Friday against the Evansville IceMen.

"We feel that Kacey is an extended member of the Jackals family because her brothers Rob and Corey have become such integral players in Elmira. Everyone in the organization was thrilled to see her compete on the world stage and help the US capture a silver medal in Sochi. We're also extremely gracious that she is willing to come to First Arena and spend time visiting with our fans," said Jackals general manager Matt Hufnagel.

Kacey Bellamy is the younger sister of Jackals forward Rob Bellamy and the older sister of winger Corey Bellamy. She was a four-year standout defender at the University of New Hampshire and, as a senior, was named to the 2008-09 RBK All-America First Team. Bellamy finished her career with the third-most points by a defenseman in the history of UNH women's hockey.

Bellamy has represented the United States in international competition since 2009 and was a member of the sliver-medal winning teams at the Vancouver Olympics in 2010 and the Sochi Olymics that took place this February. She will drop the ceremonial faceoff prior to the start of Friday's game and then be available for autographs at SplitRock Brewing Company during the first intermission.

Also taking place this weekend is the Jackals' annual Scout Night on Friday and the Guns-and-Hoses jersey auction on Saturday.

The Five Rivers Council of Boy Scouts has teamed up with the Jackals for their annual overnight stay at First Arena. The scouts will enjoy the Jackals game and then have a number of great activities to enjoy after the contest. Scout/units who wish to attend are encouraged to pre-registration at the Arnot Mall Scout Shop, where information and tickets are available.
