Elmira Adds (F) Lepine, (G) Dodds; Steven Kaunisto Moved to 21-Day IR
The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, proudly celebrating our 10th season in the ECHL, announced today they have signed forward Robert Lepine and goalie Greg Dodds. Amateur Tryouts. In a corresponding transaction, the Jackals have placed Steven Kaunisto on the 21-day IR, retroactive to Feb. 24.
Robert Lepine, 24, just completed his final season at the University of Guelph, where he led the team with 15 goals in 27 games. The high-scoring forward finished the season with 31 points (15g, 16a) and a +1 rating. The 6-foot-1, 198-pound winger ended his Guelph career with 48 points (24g, 24a) in 59 games played. Lepine will wear #13 for the Jackals.
Greg Dodds, 24, is coming off a four-year career at the University of Western Ontario, appearing in 20 games this season. In 20 games, the 6-foot-2, 187-pound netminder was 7-12-0 with a 3.51 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage. The Wingham, Ontario native will wear #39 for the Jackals.
