MAGNIFYING THE MATCHUP

Today the Jackals and Nailers complete their six-game regular-season series with a Sunday afternoon matchup at WesBanco Arena. Last night, these two teams tussled back-and-forth into the late stages of the third period when Allan McPherson scored his team-leading 17th goal of the season. Jacob MacDonald led the way offensively with his first career hat trick as a part of a four-point night. Cason Hohmann added four assists as eleven Jackals recorded at least one point. Alain Valiquette won his first professional start making 30 saves on 34 shots. Elmira is 2-0-0 at WesBanco Arena this year and leads the season series with a 3-1-1 record. Cason Hohmann leads the Jackals with five assists and six points against the Nailers and Jacob MacDonald leads the team with four goals against Wheeling.
