McPherson and Hohmann both earned Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week honors in February and on behalf of each player a case of pucks was sent to be donated to a local youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 33,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.

Hohmann, 23, was named the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for February 22-28. He recorded seven assists and a plus-4 rating in three games while setting a career high with four assists in a 7-4 victory against Wheeling on February 27.

Hohmann leads the Jackals with 34 assists and 52 points in 53 games this season. The rookie forward ranks second among ECHL rookies in points and is tied for fourth in assists.

Prior to turning pro, the Arlington, Texas native spent four seasons at Boston University where he collected 92 points (32 goals, 60 assists) in 145 NCAA games.

He capped off a stellar weekend with his first professional hat trick in a 5-4 victory against Manchester on February 7. The 5-foot-10 180-pound forward recorded a goal the previous night versus the Monarchs and added four points the next day with three goals and one assist while posting a +5 rating. McPherson's hat trick was also the first for a Jackals player this season.

The Kinburn, Ontario native has recorded 46 points (19 goals, 27 assists) in 40 games with the Jackals this season while posting one goal in 16 games with the Rochester Americans.
