Jackals Venture North to Brampton to Meet the Beast

The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, head north of the border to faceoff against the Brampton Beast. Tonight's tilt is the first of three between the Jackals and Beast in Elmira's final four regular season games.

MAGNIFYING THE MATCHUP

Tonight the Jackals will travel across the border and visit the Brampton Beast. The Powerade Centre has been a friendly facility for the Jackals over the last two seasons. Elmira is 3-0-0 on the road at Brampton this season and 5-1-0 all-time in Ontario. Overall, the Jackals are 6-2-0 against the Beast this season and hold an all-time record of 11-3-0 against Brampton. The last time out in Brampton, the Jackals swept the Beast with 5-1 win on Friday, March 4 and a 3-2 victory on Sunday, March 6. Nick Tuzzolino recorded his first career hat trick in Friday's win and Tyler Currier notched the game-winning goal on Sunday. Shane Owen made 22 stops on Friday and 16 on Sunday to begin his Jackals' career. Owen opened his tenure with Elmira 7-0-0 before suffering his first loss on Saturday at home against Brampton. He is 8-1-0 with a 1.88 goals-against-average and a .940 save percentage with Elmira. Colin Jacobs leads the Jackals against the Beast with seven points.
