The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, completed their second consecutive weekend sweep on the road with a pair of wins north of the border in Brampton, Ontario. The Jackals enter this week tied with the Reading Royals for seventh in the Eastern Conference and just one point behind the Atlanta Gladiators for sixth place.

The Jackals and Thunder continue their 11-game season series with a home-and-home weekend starting on Thursday in Glens Falls. The last time the pack paid a visit to the Glens Falls Civic Center they dismantled the Thunder, 8-0. The Jackals' winning margin set a new high mark in the ECHL that still stands. Eleven different players registered at least one point and seven recorded multi-point efforts. Allan McPherson led the way with four points, which was his second consecutive four-point game. C.J. Motte turned aside all 28 Thunder shots to earn his second shutout of the season. Friday's meeting at First Arena will be the final matchup between the Jackals and Thunder in Elmira this season. The two teams split the previous weekend set in Elmira on Feb.19-20. The Jackals won the first contest 2-1 in the shootout but fell to Adirondack the next night 3-1. The Jackals are 2-3-0 at home against the Thunder and 4-4-0 in the overall season series.
3/13 at Manchester Monarchs - 3:00 p.m. EDT
Home vs. MAN 1-3-0, Away vs. MAN 2-2-0
On Sunday, the Jackals will venture north to Manchester, N.H. for their final road contest at Verizon Wireless Arena. Elmira is 2-2-0 in the Monarchs' home building this season. This meeting will be the third Sunday contest in Manchester between the Jackals and Monarchs. The Jackals held a 2-1 lead going into the third period of the previous meeting but two special teams goals by Manchester handed the Jackals their first regulation loss this season when leading after two periods. Elmira has a record of 21-1-2 when leading after 40 minutes of play. In the previous meeting, Allan McPherson recorded his first career hat trick in a four-point day leading the Jackals past Manchester on Super Bowl Sunday, 5-4. The line of McPherson, Cason Hohmann and Chris Langkow was responsible for all five Jackals' goals en route to the victory. Chris Langkow recorded a goal and two assists and Cason Hohmann posted a goal and an assist to extend his point streak to nine games.

For the second consecutive weekend, the Elmira Jackals have traveled on the road and swept their opponent. With their 3-2 win today, the Jackals have improved their dominating record against Brampton to 5-1-0 this season with five more meetings in their final 13 regular season games. Mark Bennett led the offense today with a goal and an assist while Zach Cohen and Tyler Currier also recorded goals.
