Jackals add two

The Elmira Jackals announced on Friday that defenseman Chris Frank has been returned to the club by the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The Jackals also announced that they have signed forward Andrew Willock to a standard player contract.

Frank, who posted 19 penalty minutes in six games with Bridgeport after being loaned there by Elmira on Feb. 24, has five assists in 21 games this season with the Jackals to go along with 87 penalty minutes. The Lynnwood, Wash. native led the Las Vegas Wrangers last season with 165 penalty minutes as a rookie while also accumulating seven points (1g-6a). Frank led Western Michigan (NCAA, D-I) in penalty minutes in each of his four seasons at the school from 2005-2009.

Willock, a rookie out of SUNY-Plattburgh (NCAA, D-III), scored the game-winning goal for the Jackals in his ECHL debut on Tuesday in a 3-2 win at South Carolina. He has 38 points (19g-19a) in 38 games with the Danbury Whalers (FHL) this season for fourth best on the club.

The Jackals host the Gwinnett Gladiators tonight at 7:35 p.m. at First Arena. To purchase tickets call (607) 734-PUCK (7825), visit the First Arena Box Office, or log onto the new JackalsHockey.com.
