Jackals receive three from B-Sens

The Elmira Jackals announced on Wednesday that forwards Jack Downing and Wacey Hamilton and defenseman Josh Godfrey have been assigned to the club from its AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Downing, a rookie, has 11 goals and seven assists for 18 points in 24 games with the Jackals this season. In 24 contests with the B-Sens in 2011-2012, the 22-year-old Downing has posted four goals and two assists for six points. Tonight will mark Downing's first action with the Jackals since Jan. 15.

Hamilton registered an assist in his Jackals debut on Feb. 14 in a 3-2 victory over Wheeling. A rookie from Cochrane, Alberta, Hamilton has collected two goals and two assists for four points with the B-Sens this season.

Godfrey, a fourth-year pro, scored his first goal as a Jackal on Feb. 14 and has also added two assists for three points with the club in 2011-2012. A native of Collingwood, Ontario, Godfrey has scored two goals and has accumulated five assists for seven points in 24 contests with Binghamton this season.

Elmira also announced that it has placed forward Corey Bellamy on waivers. Bellamy has notched eight penalty minutes in eight contests with the Jackals this season.
