The Elmira Jackals announced on Thursday that they have signed forwards Rob Bellamy, J.P. Martignetti, Matt Moffat, and Mike Sellitto to standard player contracts for the 2011-2012 season.

Bellamy returns to the United States after playing the 2010-2011 season with the EIHL's Nottingham Panthers where he experienced his most productive season offensively as a pro. The 6-foot, 194-pound right wing scored 23 goals and added 32 assists for 55 points in 52 games with the Panthers in his third professional season. Bellamy skated his first two years as a pro from 2008-2010 with the AHL's Philadelphia/Adirondack Phantoms, scoring four goals and contributing eight assists for 12 points.
In four seasons at the University of Maine (NCAA, D-I), Bellamy and the Black Bears reached the NCAA Frozen Four twice, appearing in the national semifinals in 2006 and 2007. Bellamy, a native of Westfield, Mass. served as a captain in his senior year of 2007-2008 and scored 15 goals and notched 33 assists for 48 points in his collegiate career.
"Rob is a player who displays good leadership ability, is very fit, skates well, and finishes his checks," Bingham said.
Martignetti, a 6'3", 216-pound center, played the last four seasons at Holy Cross (NCAA, D-I). The Winchester, Mass. product totaled 16 goals and 25 assists for 41 points in his four years with the Crusaders including a career-best seven goals and nine assists for 16 points in his sophomore year of 2008-2009. Martignetti also combined for 146 penalty minutes in his four seasons at Holy Cross.
"J.P. is a shutdown forward," Bingham said. "He's good in the faceoff circle and is very serious about the opportunity he has in Elmira."
Moffat heads into his fourth professional season after skating 2010-2011 with Austria's EK Zell am See, scoring nine goals while adding 10 assists for 19 points. The 5'10", 170-pound speedy right wing from Etobicoke, Ontario split 2009-2010 with the AAHL's Chi-Town Shooters and the IHL's Flint Generals, accumulating 19 goals and 24 assists for 43 points with the two squads. Moffat joined the Generals in December of 2009 and helped Flint reach the Turner Cup Finals, contributing two goals and two assists for four points in 11 playoff games. He spent his rookie season of 2008-2009 with Chi-Town, recording 70 points (30g-40a).
"Matt is best known for his dynamic speed and is the type of player who can change a game," Bingham said.
Sellitto, a 5'10", 181-pound right wing, will play his second professional season in 2011-2012. He skated his rookie season with the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings, the FHL's Danbury Whalers, and the SPHL's Louisiana IceGators, scoring his first four professional goals and tallying nine assists for 13 points between the three teams. The Weston, Fla. native played three years at Florida Gulf Coast University (ACHA), scoring 28 goals and collecting 32 assists for 60 points.
"Mike is a good skater who has shown a willigness to play in traffic," Bingham said. "He has good speed and has displayed a desire to learn the game."
