The Jackals have signed defensemen Vinny Geonnetti and Stephen Mallaro to standard player contracts.

Geonnetti skated in 11 games with Elmira last season, scoring a goal and adding an assist for two points. The Philadelphia, Pa. native was released by the Jackals during the team's training camp this season.

Mallaro, a rookie from Syracuse, N.Y., skated the last four seasons at SUNY-Oswego (NCAA, D-III). He participated in training camp this season with the Jackals and their AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch. Mallaro was released by Elmira prior to the start of the 2011-2012 regular season.

The Jackals also announced that they have loaned forward Mike Radja to their AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators. The B-Sens have also recalled goaltender Brian Stewart from Elmira.

Elmira released defenseman Donnie Harris prior to its game on Friday.
