The Elmira Jackals announced on Wednesday that they have loaned defenseman Mike Ratchuk to their AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.

Ratchuk, a fourth-year pro, has skated in 12 games with the Jackals this season, scoring three goals to go along with four assists for seven points.

The South Buffalo, N.Y. played in 35 games for the Crunch in 2009-2010, combining three goals and seven assists for 10 points.

Ratchuk was drafted in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers.
