The Elmira Jackals announced on Wednesday that goaltender Brian Stewart has been assigned to the club by its AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Stewart, a second-year pro, is 10-5-0-0 with Elmira this season, posting a .906 save percentage and a 3.16 goals-against average. He was named the ECHL's Goaltender of the Week for Nov. 28 - Dec. 4. Stewart was most recently recalled by the B-Sens on Dec. 17, and has not played in a game with the club this season. This is his fifth assignment to Elmira in 2011-2012.
