The Elmira Jackals announced on Friday that they have been assigned forward Yannick Tifu by their AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Tifu, a sixth-year pro, is second on Elmira with 50 points and 34 assists. The Brossard, Quebec native has 16 goals with the Jackals this season, tied for third in the club in that department.

In six games with the B-Sens in 2010-2011, Tifu has one assist.
