Elmira Jackals account executive Marc Witt received a Super Splash Award from the Diven Elementary School in Elmira on Wednesday. Earlier this season, Witt organized an outing to a Jackals game for students at the Diven School which included them singing the national anthem.

"Our organization constantly strives to have a positive influence on the community," Jackals general manager Robbie S. Nichols said. "Anytime somebody from the Jackals is recognized for having done that, we are thrilled."

The Super Splash Awards were given out by the school to members of the community who had a positive influence throughout the 2010-2011 school year on its students.
