Jackals Look To Finish November With Weekend Sweep

ELMIRA, NY - November 29, 2014 - The Elmira Jackals, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and AHL's Rochester Americans, will face the Evansville Icemen for the final time at First Arena this season. The Jackals are 4-0-0 against Evansville this year, and 3-0-0 at First Arena.

The Jackals look to finish November with a weekend sweep of the Evansville Icemen. This meeting marks the fifth of six meetings and final of four at First Arena this season. Elmira has won the first four meetings against Evansville this year, including a 3-0-0 record at home. The Jackals are 11-1-1 all-time against Evansville since the Icemen joined the ECHL in the 2012-13 season. Elmira is also 6-1-1 all-time at First Arena against the Icemen. They will eye another sweep tonight after defeating Evansville 3-2 in overtime last night. Former Icemen Mike Seidel scored the overtime game-winner 1:07 into the extra frame.

The Jackals have found great success in the confines of First Arena this season. Elmira leads the league with eight home wins (8-2-1). The Jackals are currently in the midst of a stretch where they play 10 of 12 games on home ice. They are 5-1-0 at First Arena during this stretch. Tonight marks the second of five straight home games for the Jackals.
