Elmira Jackals coach Todd Brost and forward Jamie Thompson will be part of the all-star lineup at the 40th Elmira-Corning All Sports Banquet, scheduled Monday at Elmira College Campus Center.
The Master of Ceremonies for the event will be former NHL All-Star Dennis Hull. Brost and Thompson will also be joined by recently retired Buffalo Sabres enforcer Rob Ray.
Other speakers scheduled to appear include baseball Hall of Famer Ferguson Jenkins, New York Giants guard Chris Snee, NASCAR Nextel Cup driver Dave Blaney, Syracuse University running back Damien Rhodes, and Reggie Terry, director of football operations and player development at Syracuse.
Terry will present the All Sports committee's first annual Elmira-Corning Lifetime All Sports Award to Marie Fleming of Elmira, on behalf of her son, the late Ernie Davis, who starred in three sports at Elmira Free Academy from 1955 to 1958 and went on to become the first black man to win the Heisman Trophy in 1961 while at Syracuse.
