The Elmira Jackals play their second-to-last regular season game when they take on the Trenton Devils on the road at 7:00 p.m.

The Jackals recently clinched their first ECHL division title, sealing the American East Division when they beat the Reading Royals in the Jackals' final home game of 2009-2010 on Wednesday by a score of 5-3.

The Devils come into the game winners of four-straight games overall and five-straight against the Jackals.

The Jackals' final home record of 20-9-5-2 (.653) is their best since they joined the ECHL. In 2007-2008, the Jackals went 21-13-0-2 (.611) and in 2008-2009 were 20-11-1-4 (.625) on home ice.

The Jackals have locked up the American Conference's third seed and will play the Florida Everblades in the first round best-of-five series. This season, the Jackals were 2-0 against the Everblades, with victories on Jan. 8 and 9 at First Arena.

The series begins with games 1 and 2 in Florida and then heads back to the Twin Tiers for games 3, 4, and 5. Elmira has never played in Florida, with the first three meetings having taken place at First Arena.

According to the Hockey Hall of Fame, no two brothers have each scored 100 points in the season while playing on the same team at any level of professional hockey. Tyler and Justin Donati have a chance to become the first, as Tyler has reached the century mark and Justin is two-points shy of 100.
