The Southport Kiwanis Club with the help of the Elmira Jackals Hockey Team will hold a Spaghetti Supper on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at the Southport Fire Hall, Cedar Street, Elmira, New York, right off the Clemens Center Pkwy from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM to raise money for the Samantha Munson Family.

Samantha is a 3-year old Pine City girl recently diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer. Proceeds will help the Munson family pay medical and other expenses related to Samanthas care. Samantha is being treated at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. The cancer has left her paralyzed and on a respirator.

In addition to the medical bills, the family is facing unexpected costs as they prepare to bring Samantha home. One cost is to purchase and install a generator to power her respirator in case electrical service to their house is interrupted.

Elmira Jackals team members will help serve spaghetti and sign autographs for fans dining at the event and the Jackals Booster Club will hold raffles for hockey and non-related items to help raise funds also. The boosters are currently accepting monetary donations at the booster table during Elmira Jackals home games.

Menu includes Spaghetti and Meatballs, Tossed Salad, Italian Bread, Coffee and Soda.
