The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the ECHL, took three of the first four games on what will be its longest road trip of the year last week that is part of a 13-game stretch over 20 days. The six points lifted the Jackals into a tie for second place in the North Division with the Reading Royals.

Tuesday, Nov. 13th @ MISSISSIPPI (4-2 W) Att: 2,539 Shots: MIS 42-31 PP: 2/7 PK: 6/7
The Sea Wolves put nine of the games first 10 shots on goal, but it was the visitors leaving the first period with a 2-0 lead on power play goals by RW BOBBY ROBINS and D CHRIS BUSBY. After the Elmira lead was sliced to 2-1, RW CHAZ JOHNSON scored the game winner just 30 seconds later. 1st Star G JOEL MARTIN stopped 40 shots and LW MIKE McLEAN chipped in with a pair of assists for his first two professional regular season points.
Friday, Nov. 16th @ Texas (3-6 L) Att: 1,383 Shots: TEX 35-31 PP: 0/3 PK: 8/10
A 2-0 first period deficit was too much to overcome despite the Jackals battling back to within 4-3 in the final period. LW SHAWN WELLER netted his first professional goal while LW BRUCE WATSON scored his first of the season for the Jackals in the loss.

After the Wildcatters struck 5:08 into the game, Elmira reeled of four unanswered goals to knock of the league co-leaders. RW BOBBY ROBINS picked up 1st Star honors with a pair of goals, including the game-winner on the power play at 6:56 of the middle period. G DAN LaCOSTA gained his first ECHL win since February 18th, 2007, with 30 saves.
Sunday, Nov. 18th @ Texas (2-1so W) Att: 1,152 Shots: TEX 43-33 PP: 1/6 PK: 6/6
LW PIERRE-LUC FAUBERT scored the only regulation goal and then netted the shootout clincher as the Jackals took four of six points from the Wildcatters on the weekend. G DAN LaCOSTA sparkled in goal, picking up his second consecutive win with a season and ECHL career-high 42 saves. LaCOSTA was perfect in the shootout, denying all four Texas snipers, while FAUBERT and LW SHAWN WELLER converted for Elmira in the shootout.

The Jackals wrap up their five-game southern road swing when they call on Gwinnett, off to its best start in club history with 19 points on the strength of a 9-1-0-1 mark in the South Division. The Gladiators are lead by F LOU DICKENSONs 14 points (5+9) with DEREK NESBITT leading the club in goals with seven and RW JEFF CAMPBELL (on recall to Norfolk AHL) registering a team-high 11 assists. G CRAIG KOWALSKI ranks third in the ECHL with a 1.98 goals against average.
Friday, Nov. 23rd vs. Trenton 7:35 p.m. First Arena
The Devils and Jackals hook up in the second of 11 scheduled meetings and first of six at First Arena. Elmira took the only previous match 4-2 October 20th at Sovereign Bank Arena. Trenton enters the week in seventh place in the North Division with eight points. The Devils have scored a division-low 28 goals and have surrendered 47 goals, most in the division. RW JOE ROONEY leads the club in scoring with nine points (5+4) while goalies DAVE CARUSO (3-2-0) and JASON SMITH (1-7-0) have shared time in net.
Saturday, Nov. 24th vs. Reading 7:35 p.m. First Arena
The Royals visit Elmira having taken the first meeting of the 11-game season series November 4th 5-3 at Sovereign Center. The clubs enter the week tied for second in the North Division and G JONATHAN QUICK carrying the load in net with a 7-5-1 mark and a2.42 goals against average. RW CHRIS BLIGHT paces the Royals with eight goals and 13 points with C PATRICK JARRETT chipping in with a club-high nine helpers.
Sunday, Nov. 25th - vs. Columbia 4:05 p.m. First Arena
Bobby K Family Day / Guaranteed Win Day / Post-Game Skate with the Jackals
The Jackals and Inferno meet for the only time this season to close out the weekend with Columbia starting the week tied for fifth (Charlotte) in the South Division with 14 points on a record of 6-6-1-1. C BRAD RALPH tops the goal scoring and points chart with eight and 18 respectively. RW JEFF MILES leads the club in assists with 10. Goalies JEFF JAKAITIS (2-4-0) and TODD FORD (4-2-1) have split time in net.
