Elmira, NY The Elmira Jackals invite everyone to join in to their Charitable Efforts over the weekend in the spirit of giving during the holiday season.

Fans can bring in brand new teddy bears on their own or they can purchase teddy bears at the game. As soon as the puck goes in the net for the first Elmira goal, fans then throw all their teddy bears onto the ice in celebration of the Jackals and the holiday spirit of giving. The Jackals will collect all the bears thrown on to the ice and the players will deliver the teddy bears in person to children in area hospitals.

Saturday Night will also feature a special contest from the Gold, Silver & Diamond Store The Great Diamond Giveaway. The first 500 women through the gate on Saturday will receive a special giveaway item from the Gold, Silver & Diamond Store. 499 of the giveaways will contain a beautiful Cubic Zirconia gemstone. One lucky lady out of the 500 giveaways will actually be in possession of a genuine diamond. To discover if your precious stone is actually the diamond, come several Jackals players at the Gold, Silver & Diamond Store on Sunday December 10th from 12 pm to 2 pm to get your gemstone appraised and see if you are the lucky winner of The Great Diamond Giveaway. The store is located on the Miracle Mile in Elmira and contestants will also receive special discounts to other merchandise at the Gold, Silver & Diamond Store.

Sunday December 10th the Jackals will be appearing at the Arnot Mall from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm for a special Holiday Concert. The Jackals will be signing Christmas Carols at the Mall for approximately 90 minutes and wearing their special Christmas jerseys that will be auctioned off after Wednesday December 13th home game against Port Huron.
