Saturday, December 01, 2012ELMIRA, N.Y. - The Jackals continue their three-in-three weekend tonight by paying a visit to the Trenton Titans. The game is just Elmira's second road game against a divisional opponent so far this season.

WHO: Elmira Jackals - Ottawa/NHL & Binghamton/AHL (9-8-1) vs. Trenton Titans - Philadelphia/NHL & Adirondack/AHL (7-9-1)

Tonight is the third of 16 scheduled meetings between the Jackals and Titans this season, and the first of eight games between the teams Sun National Bank Center. The Jackals are 1-1-0 against Trenton this season after splitting back-to-back games on October 16 and 17. Elmira is trying to shake out of a road slump that has seen it go 0-4-1 since its last road win at South Carolina on November 2. Trenton, meanwhile, is trying to straighten things out at home where it is 4-4-0 but has lost three of its last four. Each team enters action tonight coming off of a loss to Wheeling. The Nailers claimed a 4-2 win last night in Elmira and a 3-2 win in Wheeling over the Titans on Wednesday.

Elmira's 2012-13 schedule is loaded with games against the Atlantic Division to the tune of 58 percent (42 of 76 games). This week begins a span of five consecutive games against the Atlantic Division that will see the Jackals play Wheeling (1), Reading (2), and Trenton (2) at least once each. In the big picture, 11 of Elmira's next 15 games (through the end of December) are against the Atlantic. For the season Elmira is 4-2-1 against divisional opponents with a 4-2-0 mark at home and an 0-0-1 record on the road. This weekend's games in Trenton will be Elmira's first road games within the division since a trip to Reading on November 14.
