Elmira Jackals (19-18-5-0) at Las Vegas Wranglers (28-13-2-1)
The Elmira Jackals begin a six-game road trip as they meet the Las Vegas Wranglers for the first time.
The Jackals will play their first ever game in the Pacific Time Zone tonight in Las Vegas. The westernmost games ever played by Elmira before tonight were in 2007, when the Jackals met Malcolm Cameron's Texas Wildcatters in Beaumont, Texas.
The Jackals attempted a penalty shot on Sunday exactly one year to the date of their last attempted penalty shot. A.J. Perry's bid in the second period was the first penalty shot by a Jackal since Matt Lowry tried one on Jan. 30, 2010 against Gwinnett. Perry scored, giving Elmira its first penalty shot goal since Nov. 14, 2009 when Wes Cunningham scored one in Gwinnett.
