The Elmira Jackals and the Wheeling Nailers meet up for a crucial Atlantic Division battle at First Arena, with the puck set to drop at 7:05 p.m. The Jackals lead the Nailers by one point for the division's top spot, while Elmira trails Greenville by two points for first place in the Eastern Conference. Elmira and Wheeling have split the first 10 meetings in 2011-2012. Tonight's game is Willowcreek Wednesday at First Arena, as a few lucky fans will have a chance to win golf passes to Willowcreek Golf Club in Big Flats.

Dustin Gazley's point streak is now at 14 games, as the rookie is a point tonight shy of equaling the longest such streak by any ECHL skater in 2011-2012. Gazley has registered eight goals and 13 assists during this stretch for 21 points. The longest point streak by any Jackal in an ECHL season is 17 games, set by Tyler Donati in his MVP season of 2009-2010. 22 to Mar. 5.

The Jackals have re-signed forward Alec Kirschner, the team announced on Wednesday. Kirschner, a fourth-year pro from Dix Hills, N.Y., is scoreless in 17 games with Elmira this season while recording an assist in five games with Wheeling in 2011-2012. The 25-year-old was released by the Nailers on Monday.
