The Jackals fell last night to the Trenton Titans, 4-3, while the K-Wings handed the Wheeling Nailers their first defeat of 2011-2012, 6-5 at WesBanco Arena.
Rookie Artem Demkov is on a three-game goal-scoring streak, recording the Jackals' first goal of Friday's game. The Minsk, Belarus native is tied for the ECHL rookie lead with seven goals with Bakersfield's Scott Freeman and is also knotted atop the league with former Jackal and current Las Vegas forward Eric Lampe with three first goals.
The Jackals are just 2-7-3-0 against Kalamazoo since the K-Wings joined the ECHL prior to the 2009-2010 campaign, with both wins coming last season.
