ELMIRA, N.Y. - First Arena and the Elmira Jackals are inviting hockey players from around the Southern Tier to take part in the Johnny Daum Benefit Skate this Saturday, September 8 at First Arena's Rec Rink.
On Saturday, September 8, 2012 between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m., Elmira Jackals Youth Hockey will be hosting a fundraiser to help defray the cost of Johnny's medical care. Come out and skate for Johnny! Refreshments and baked good will be available, as well as helmet stickers and 50/50 raffles.
The fundraiser will consist of drop in hockey - Mites and Squirts from 5-6, Peewees and Bantams from 6-7 and Midgets and Adults from 7-8. Ten dollars is the minimum requested donation to skate.
Johnny Daum is one of Elmira's own - let's show him that the hockey community is behind him! Get the word out to everyone who skates - Elmira Jackals Youth Hockey will be accepting donations on behalf of Daum from those who can't make it.
