ELMIRA, N.Y. - The Elmira Jackals have earned at least one standings point in their last four games (2-0-2). They look to make it five in a row tonight when they host the Reading Royals who have won six games in a row.

The Jackals are facing the Royals tonight for the 13th of 16 meetings this season and the sixth of seven at First Arena. Elmira is 2-9-1 against Reading this season, which includes a 0-5-0 record on home ice. Reading claimed the win that night and began a run of seven consecutive victories against the Jackals. In the seven-year series between the Jackals (94 games) Reading's current win streak is the longest. The Jackals have scored first in their last two meetings with the Royals, including a 2-0 lead at home on February 12, but have not been able to maintain them. Reading enters play this week as the hottest team in the ECHL with six consecutive victories. The Royals have surrendered just 11 goals over those six games and have scored no fewer than four goals in each.
Jordan Pietrus has kicked his offensive production into high gear lately. Pietrus is averaging a point per game in March with three goals and one assist and leads the team in goals this month.
