The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the United Hockey League, announced today the return of veteran scorer Greg Koehler for the 2004-2005 Season.
Koehler (KEY-ler), a Scarborough, Ontario native was one of the offensive leaders of the Jackals and the entire UHL during the first half of last year until he began a string of call ups to the American Hockey League. In just 37 games for Elmira last season, Koehler totaled 20 goals and 26 assists with 35 PIMs.
Koehler, who finished the 2003-04 season with the Manchester Monarchs (AHL) has played 187 games at the AHL level over the course of his six-year professional career. The 62 215-pound right-winger made his NHL debut in 2000-01 when he appeared in one game for the Carolina Hurricanes.
