The Bakersfield Condors rode four power play goals to a 6-2 win over the Elmira Jackals in front of 3,487 fans at First Arena Sunday. In the process, the Condors ended a seven-game losing streak (0-6-0-1) in wrapping up a nine-game road trip. The Jackals modest two-game win streak was silenced as the club now faces a 10-day, five-game southern road junket prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Reagan Leslie got the visitors rolling with his first of two goals on the night, slipping a Ryan Markham centering pass through the pads of goaltender Dan LaCosta (31 saves) 10:34 into the game.

The Condors would not look back after a power play marker by Steven Later made it 2-0 with 1:31 remaining in the first period.

Defenseman Jon Landry picked up his first professional goal 2:45 into the second period to get the Jackals on the board, but they were unable to capture the momentum.

Bakersfield regained a two-goal cushion with another power play goal at 14:54 from Joe Dustin with just one second remaining in the man advantage for a 3-1 lead after forty minutes.

The Jackals power play finally came to life at 2:10 of the third period when Frank Littlejohn slid his own rebound around Yutaka Fukufuji (21 saves) for his fourth of the season to make it 3-2.

But the penalty kill would fail miserably as Elmira surrendered a season-high four power play goals, the final two in the third putting the game out of reach before a shorthanded, empty-netter from Leslie closed the scoring at 6-2.

The Jackals now head to Biloxi, Mississippi, for a Tuesday night contest with the Mississippi Sea Wolves at 8:05 p.m. Join the Voice of the Jackals, Grady Whittenburg, for all of the action beginning with the Hill Top Inn Countdown to Face Off at 7:35 p.m.
