The Jackals Tryout Camp Is Set For September 1-3 at First Arena
Elmira, NY The Elmira Jackals announced today that they have 30 players registered for their September Open Tryout Camp, with more expected soon.
Are you suffering from hockey withdrawal? Are you tired of burning up in the sweltering heat and humidity of the dog days of summer? Your oasis is here! Find relief inside the refreshingly temperate First Arena Rec Rink and get your first look at the players trying to become part of the next Elmira Jackals squad. Elmira Jackals General Manager Robbie S. Nichols expects approximately 40 players to suit up for the teams first-ever Professional Placement Camp, Friday September 1st through Sunday September 3rd at the First Arena. Space is still available for aspiring players, especially for forwards and defensemen. And best of all; the Tryout Camp will be open to the public for all sessions.
The Huntsville Havoc of the SPHL have already cancelled their own Tryout Camp to merge with the Jackals proceedings in Elmira. The Havoc Head Coach John Gibson is bringing players that were signed up for his camp to Elmira and he will be in attendance to evaluate players for Huntsvilles upcoming season. Representatives from several more minor league teams are expected to be at the Jackals Placement Camp. General Managers, Head Coaches and Scouts have been invited from all UHL, ECHL, CHL and SPHL teams.
Only the most qualified players will be accepted. Camp fee is $299.00, which includes on-ice sessions and two-night hotel accommodation. A $100 deposit is required with registration.
Noon - 6:00 PM Players Arrive - Check into Holiday Inn.
2:30 PM Meeting with Directors - Placement of Players.
